Official Training of the European Wakebaord Champioships in Ukkohalla
At 8am in the moring, under the clear blue sky the French team hit the water. The team, leaded by Loic Le Bras was already in good condition and showed solid performances. Until 3pm the riders have the chance to train in teams before the event starts this afternoon.
The last rider to arrive yesterday night was Nick Davies (GB). He was just coming back from a long trip out of Taiwan where the World Games were held last week. Maxine Sapulette (NL) will arrive even later and set up her camp tonight. Then the european cable wakeboard elite will be complete and we are ready to go.
At the moment the crew is working frantically at the technic to set it all up for the upcoming livestream and delivering real-time resuls.
The 11th European Cablewakeboarding Championships will be officially opened at 4pm.
13 flags will lead the move-in of the nations. After the oath of the athlets and the judges, Ms Varna Laco, the president of the Cable Wakeboard World Council will officially open the European Championships 2009.
Already on friday the first medals will be given to the Masters, Boys and Girls. Also part of the "Ukkohalla Midnight Sun Wake Festival" are the 2nd CWWC Tour Stop, which will bring the riders important points for the CWWC World Ranking and the first European Cable Wakeskate Championships.
