Cable Wakeboard Australia takes the next step!

The 2012 Cable Wakeboard Nationals were held at the Cables Wake Park at Penrith  on the 13th of April and all agreed a huge sucess. Organiser and Chief Judge Lauren Ormsby  was thrlled with the event  with over 65 roders on site and a packed day of riding.

However the Nationals were not the only significant event on the weekend. Our President Gavin Brain and CEO Gary Humphrey attended the inaugural Special General meeting of Cable Wakeboard Australia with a view to forming a new Division for Cable Wakeboarding. With the possibility of Cable Wakeboard being selected as an Olympic Sport in 2020 there is a lot of enthusiasm for the  discipline. A good attendance was present with represenation from all three states, NSW, Qld and Northern Territory. The concept of a new Division was tabled and after lengthy discussion the meeting agreed to proceed subject to ratification by the AWWF Board. Elections were held and Stephen Dipple was appointed as the interim Divisional Director of CWA along with a strong Board representing both Parks and States.
