CWWC Riders of the Year 2012
At the end of each season each divisional Council of the IWWF choose their Male and Female Riders of the Year. This award is based on athletic achievement in the current year.
2012 season is over and the election for the Rider of the Year has closed. Each confederation council nominated two riders of the year. AAO nominated Im San from Korea and Angelika Schriber from Australia. PANAM selected Austin Hair (USA) and Robbie Rendo from Argentina. E&A came up with Sophia Marie Reimers and Frederic von Osten, both from Germany. These six nominees were put forward to the CWWC who voted to pick the Cable Wakeboard Riders of the Year. After a close election Sophia Marie Reimers (GER) and Frederic von Osten (GER) were chose as the Cable Wakeboard Riders of the Year 2012.
Both – Sophia Marie Reimers and Frederic von Osten- had an amazing season 2012. Both taking home World titles on their performances from this year and have been scored highly in national and international competitions. Additional to their great results both athletes have given a lot to the sport and are pushing it forward.
These two selected Cable Wakeboard Riders of the Year went to the IWWF Executive Board for consideration along with the two nominations from all the other disciplines and the Executive Board have made their decission here.
