SWEDEN HOSTS 2013 EUROPE & AFRICA CABLE WAKEBOARD & WAKESKATE CHAMPIONSHIPS IN FAGERSTA

Following the success of the 2012 European Championships in Toulouse, France, last week’s 2013 Championships in Fagersta saw a jump in the number of entrants to nearly 200 starters. This is fuelled by the continued push to see Cable Wakeboard become an Olympic sport and the fast development of the sport in many European countries. 18 countries competed this year including Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Israel, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russia, Slovak Republic, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

 

14th European Championships 2012 - Toulouse, France

In September September, Toulouse, France will hosted the largest ever Cable Wakeboard and Wakeskate European Championships. 

The cable is situated on a popular lake and the crowds were  large with spectators watching the fight to become the 2012 European champions.

Belgrade, Serbia

A record of 156 athletes from 21 Countries took part in these 2011 Championships, with the largest numbers coming from Germany, France, Great Britain, Netherlands, Israel and Sweden. With separate categories for Boys, Girls, Junior Ladies, Junior Men, Open Ladies, Open Men, Master Men and Veterans, the Public enjoyed three full 12 hour days to satisfy the record number of Riders taking part.

European Championships 2011 - Press Release 1

On Thursday, the 1st of September, Belgrade, Serbia will host the largest ever Cable Wakeboard and Wakeskate European Championships. With over 160 riders from 19 nations, this will be the biggest cable wakeboard and wakeskate competition ever seen in Europe. Competition will be fierce for the defending open wakeboard champions Mike Ketelepper (NED) and Kirseen Mitchel (GBR) and the defending open wakeskate champion Jan Kissmann (GER).

Team Scores - Complete

 A major part of the European Championships are the team scores. This year is no different and with the large number of competitors we have this year there is already a race for gold. Here you can see the points so far for team scores who have finished the competition.

God is a Wakeboarder

After this eventful day in Ukkohalla at the 11th Cablewakeboard European Championships God proved twice that he actually is a wakeboarder.
 
Georgous blue sky and 25°provided perfect conditions for the first qualification rounds which affected both the riders' mood and the performance.

At 8am in the moring, under the clear blue sky the French team hit the water. The team, leaded by Loic Le Bras was already in good condition and showed solid performances. Until 3pm the riders have the chance to train in teams before the event starts this afternoon.

European Cable Wakeboard Championships 2009 takes place at the Finnish town of Ukkohalla
Midsummer, sauna … elks??? From 30 July 2009 to 2 August 2009 the European wakeboarding elite will get together in Finland/Ukkohalla.

In summer 2008, the first Cable WakeBoard centre, northernmost in the world,  has opened in Ukkohalla. Already in the planning stage, the track has gained a lot of attention around the world
